A Quick Trip to Lindsay, Ontario | Exploring Kawartha Lakes
In the Kawartha Lakes region of Southeastern Ontario is where you'll find the beautiful small town of Lindsay.
My Filming Equipment:
●Canon G7X II (
●GoPro Hero 6 Black (
●JOBY Gorilla Pod (
●MeFOTO Travel Tripod (
This town is just 45 minutes away from Peterborough and it's a great place to visit if you're looking to explore a typical historic Ontario town.
There really isn't that much to do in Lindsay, especially for tourists.
Apart from exploring the beautiful old town area and admiring all of the architecture there's also an old burnt down mill at the edge of town. This is the most popular landmark in the town and a fun place to check out.
Just like with many other small towns in this area, people from Lindsay claim that it's one of the most beautiful towns in Ontario.
If you're planning a visit to Lindsay I recommend parking on the main street and simply walking around to see what you can find on your own.
During the summer the town can get quite busy with all of the local cottage-goers. During the winter it’s a lot quieter and can look beautiful in the snow.

Wolf Centre at Haliburton Forest: An Ontario Signature Experience
The Wolf Centre is a 5,000 square foot facility that houses exhibits, a cinema and classroom, a retail space, a large indoor observatory, and it’s wheelchair accessible! Visit the observatory and maybe catch a glimpse of Haliburton Forest’s wolf pack: permanent residents of Haliburton Forest since 1993.
You can almost always catch a glimpse of our wolves in the wild, as they wander through their 15 acre enclosure. With live wolf cams and wolf exhibits, there’s something new to see every year! Plus, with our mission to educate, you can personalize your visit by asking our friendly staff more about our wolves.
Feel Closer to the Wolves through Haliburton Forest’s Wolf Howl Experience
Many people will go their whole lives never hearing a wolf’s howl. Every Thursday evening in July and August join Wolf Centre staff for an interpretive program, followed by a short walk where your guide engages our wolf pack in a round of howls. We can't guarantee a response from the wolves but we have a pretty good track record.

Ontario Nature Day - Let's Discover ON
Come celebrate Ontario Nature Day! This is one of several events held by 'Ontario Nature' every year. These events are usually FREE, and include hikes, animal sightings, animal demonstrations, face painting, lots of neat info, and of course, fun!
This is the 85th anniversary of Ontario Nature, a not-for-profit that promotes spaces and information of nature in this province.
PLEASE NOTE: The animals that people we're holding are part of a reptile demonstration from 'Scales Nature Park'. It is NEVER a good idea to pick up or handle a wild animal.
