Los Alamos National Laboratory is a United States Department of Energy national laboratory initially organized during World War II for the design of nuclear weapons as part of the Manhattan Project. It is located a short distance northwest of Santa Fe, New Mexico in the southwestern United States. Los Alamos was selected as the top secret location for bomb design in late 1942, and officially commissioned the next year. At the time it was known as Project Y, one of a series of laboratories located across the United States given letter names to maintain their secrecy. 1. Montana de Oro State Park Los Osos
Montaña de Oro is a state park in California, United States. The park is located six miles southwest of Morro Bay and 2 miles south of Los Osos. The name Mountain of Gold comes from the golden wildflowers found in the park. It has 8,000 acres of cliffs, sandy beaches, coastal plains, streams, canyons, and hills, including the 1,347-foot Valencia Peak. The park has many hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails, as well as a campground located across from Spooner’s Cove, a popular beach. The Bluff Trail is an easy and popular trail along the scenic coast. Trails lead to the summits of Valencia Peak, Oats Peak, and Hazard Peak.

2. Carpinteria State Beach Carpinteria
Carpinteria is a small oceanside city located in southeastern Santa Barbara County, California, east of Santa Barbara and northwest of Ventura. The population was 13,040 at the 2010 census. Carpinteria Beach is known for its gentle slope and calm waves in certain sandy areas but also good surfing swells in some of the more rocky areas. Seals and sea lions can be seen in the area December through May at the rookery in the nearby Carpinteria Bluffs, as well as an occasional gray whale. Tidepools contain starfish, sea anemones, crabs, snails, octopuses and sea urchins. A marathon-length round trip north of the rookery along the beach to Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara is possible, though passable only during low tide. Mission La Purisima Concepción, or La Purisima Mission is a Spanish mission in Lompoc, California. It was established on December 8, 1787 by the Franciscan order. The original mission complex south of Lompoc was destroyed by an earthquake in 1812, and the mission was rebuilt at its present site several miles to the northwest. The mission is part of the larger La Purísima Mission State Historic Park, part of the California State Parks system, and along with Mission San Francisco de Solano is one of only two of the Spanish missions in California that is no longer under the control of the Catholic Church. It is currently the only example in California of a complete Spanish Catholic mission complex, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970.

The garden is the historic estate of Madame Ganna Walska. Victorian Mansion B&B 50's Suite in Los Alamos

The Victorian Mansion Bed and Breakfast, located off Highway 101 in Los Alamos, is an old Victorian house that has been turned into a 6 room hotel. Each room is completly different and the hotel is a total blast to explore. Amie and I got invited to spend one night there and here is the video of our 50's Suite, as well as the other rooms in the hotel.

CALIFORNIA WINE COUNTRY - AMAZING Things to do in the Santa Ynez Valley and Solvang

Just a two-hour drive from Los Angeles and a scenic four-hour jaunt from San Francisco, the Santa Ynez Valley is already home to more than 100 world-class wineries and a creative and eclectic culinary scene that is steeped in the farm-to-table movement.

This hotel offers free wi-fi, breakfast, pool, hot tub, business center and fitness room. It is a pet friendly hotel, but I did not see anyone with pets this trip. The staff were all awesome! A special thank you to the staff for allowing me to shoot this video to share with you.
