The BEST beach in San Diego!
San Diego is full of amazing beaches. Finding the best beach in San Diego is both difficult and extremely easy. The process to find the best beach in San Diego is this, find a beach in San Diego... it's probably the best. It's difficult because everyone has their favorite. This one just happens to be ours.
This beach can be found in IB, (more commonly known as Imperial Beach). Imperial Beach can be found at the far southern end of San Diego. Actually if you go any farther south you end up in Mexico.
It's beach is a long strip of beautiful white sand, well manicured as well. It also has an awesome, very long wooden pier. A lot of locals like this beach because it's generally less crowded then other beaches in San Diego, it also has great surfing... so I hear. It can be busy in the summer, but never crazy like the beaches in LA.

Solana Beach Secrets: Exploring the Mushroom Cave Slot Canyon
Ready for an unusual place? The Mushroom Cave is located in a small slot canyon in Solana Beach, CA. It was closed for quite some time recently due to the enormous amount of vandalism and graffiti. Funds were secured from a private benefactor, and the entire canyon was cleaned up -- an amazing accomplishment! In this video, I hike what is now known as Annie's Canyon Trail to reach the slot canyon and the infamous Mushroom Cave. The slot canyon is very narrow at some points -- less than a foot wide -- and goes entirely uphill. Once you exit the canyon, you are rewarded with a great view of the San Elijo Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. This was a fun adventure and an easy hike, and I highly recommend it if you're in the area like I was.
