When Chef Liz and Will invited me to hang out with them and go to some of their favorite restaurants in LA, I was very excited. We set off to eat some amazing food in LA area including tacos, Armenian kabobs and Chinese savory pies.

Teddy’s Red Tacos - The first place we ate on this best of Los Angeles food tour is Teddy’s Red Tacos. First of all, Teddy is such a friendly down to earth guy who is passionate about birria, one of my favorite Mexican foods. Serving out of a food truck, we ordered the mixed plate of birria tacos, his made with beef. It was extraordinary, and great to hang out and meet Teddy as well.

Beijing Pie House - Next we drove East to the Beijing Pie House, another one of Liz’s best favorite restaurants in LA. We ordered a mix of dishes including a variety of dumplings and the highlight was their tripe salad laced in Sichuan pepper oil. If you’re looking for some Northern Chinese dishes, Beijing Pie House is well worth the drive from Central LA.

Mini Kabob - There was one more huge meal we had to eat on this best restaurants in LA food tour. We drove to Glendale where there’s a large population of Armenians, and we met up with Armin, son of the owner of Mini Kabob. Immediately I loved the place, family run, just a small little shop with a few tables, and an ultimately friendly place. They welcomed us in and Armin took care of us from the start, fixing us a mixed meat platter with a little bit of everything. The Armenian kabobs were spectacular, as were all the different salads.

Heroic Deli - Finally, to end this restaurants tour of LA, we drove over to meet my friend Jeffrey who is starting a deli in LA called Heroic Deli ( Barbara prepared us their signature OMG classic Italian sub, which was unbelievably good and well balanced. When they open in Santa Monica, be sure to stop by for a fantastic sandwich.

Los Angeles is the second most populous city and metropolitan area (after New York City) in the United States. It is in southern California, U.S. Los Angeles is the largest and most populous city in the state of California. It is cultural, financial, and commercial center of Southern California. it has been ranked 6th in the Global Cities Index and 9th in the Global Economic Power Index.
LOCATION
Los Angeles is located in a large basin bounded by the Pacific Ocean on one side and by mountains as high as 10,000 feet on the others.
Los Angeles is both flat and hilly. The highest point in the city proper is 5,074 Mount Lukens, located at the northeastern end of the San Fernando Valley. Los Angeles is subject to earthquakes because of its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Approximately 10,000 earthquakes annually in Southern California, though most of them are too small to be felt.
Three waterways cross the county: the westward-flowing Santa Clara River in the north; the Los Angeles River in the south and the San Gabriel River.
HISTORY
The city was officially founded on September 4, 1781, by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve. It became a part of Mexico in 1821 following the Mexican War of Independence. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican–American War, Los Angeles and the rest of California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, becoming part of the United States.
RELIGION
Christianity is the most prevalently practiced religion in Los Angeles (65%). Because of Los Angeles's large multi-ethnic population, a wide variety of faiths are practiced, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism and others.
EDUCATION
There are three public universities located within the city limits: California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA), California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and University of California, Los Angeles. Los Angeles is the site of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, the oldest film school in the United States.
ECONOMY
The economy of Los Angeles is driven by international trade, movies, aerospace, technology, petroleum, fashion, apparel, and tourism. Other significant industries include finance, telecommunications, law, healthcare, and transportation. Two of the six major film studios, Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox, are located within the city Los Angeles is the largest manufacturing center in the western United States.
ENTERTAINMENT
Los Angeles is also famous as the home of Hollywood, a major center of the world entertainment industry. Los Angeles is often billed as the Creative Capital of the World, because one in every six of its residents works in a creative industry and there are more artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, dancers and musicians living and working in Los Angeles than any other city at any time in history. Los Angeles plays host to the annual Academy Awards, the Primetime Emmy Awards, the Grammy Awards as well as many other entertainment industry awards shows.
TOURISM
Los Angeles is often characterized by the presence of low-rise buildings. Skyscrapers and high-rise buildings are not common in Los Angeles.

About Walnut California:
Walnut is a suburban city in the eastern part of Los Angeles County in California.[8] Money's Best Places to Live ranked Walnut #70 in 2009[9] and #57 in 2011,[10] the highest ranking for a California city in both years.
The greater Walnut Valley is located between the steep San Jose Hills mountain range to the north, and the gentle Puente Hills to the south. Quality housing consists of master-planned single family homes ranging in size from 1,800 to 11,200 square feet. The city hosts a highly ranked public school system - the Walnut Valley Unified School District, which has been ranked by numerous sources as one of the top public school districts in Southern California[11] as well as Mt. San Antonio College. Walnut is one of the cities with the lowest crime rates in the San Gabriel Valley.[8]
The city covers nearly nine square miles (23 km2) and is home to hundreds of businesses. Its 2012 population was estimated at 29,661 by the United States Census Bureau. According to the 2010 United States Census, Walnut has a median household income at one of the top earning percentiles in the country at $101,250.[12]
The city's name is derived from the Rancho Los Nogales Mexican land grant, nogales being the Spanish word for walnut trees. The native California black walnut is a common tree of the San Jose Hills. The City of Walnut is a general law city incorporated on January 19, 1959. It is governed by a city council/city manager form of government. A five-member city council is elected by the residents, and a mayor is elected annually by the council to serve a twelve-month term. A city manager is appointed by the council to oversee the daily activities of the city.

Pasadena- is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States, located 10 miles (16 kilometers) northeast of Downtown Los Angeles.
The estimated population of Pasadena was 142,647, in 2017, making it the 183rd-largest city in the United States.[13] Pasadena is the ninth-largest city in Los Angeles County. Pasadena was incorporated on June 19, 1886, becoming one of the first cities to be incorporated in what is now Los Angeles County, following the city of Los Angeles (April 4, 1850).[17] It is one of the primary cultural centers of the San Gabriel Valley.[18]
The city is known for hosting the annual Rose Bowl football game and Tournament of Roses Parade. In addition, Pasadena is also home to many scientific and cultural institutions, including Caltech, Pasadena City College, Fuller Theological Seminary, ArtCenter College of Design, the Pasadena Playhouse, the Ambassador Auditorium, the Norton Simon Museum, and the USC Pacific Asia Museum.
South Pasadena- is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 25,619, up from 24,292 at the 2000 census. It is located in the West San Gabriel Valley. It is 3.42 square miles in area and lies between the much larger city of Pasadena, of which it was once a part, and the metropolis of Los Angeles.[11] South Pasadena is the oldest self-builder of floats in the historic Tournament of Roses Parade
Altadena- is an unincorporated[4] area[5] and census-designated place in Los Angeles County, California, United States, approximately 14 miles (23 km) from the downtown Los Angeles Civic Center, and directly north of the city of Pasadena, California. The population was 42,777 at the 2010 census, up from 42,610 at the 2000 census.
