Jackson California
Nov. 23, 2018
Jackson California is a historical Gold Country town. It is about 2 1/2 hours drive from San Francisco. The drive is a nice scenic view as you get closer to the town. Lots of trees, farms, and animals along the way. It's a nice little town to visit with the whole family. There are lots of antique shops on the historic main street. We didn't get to try dining here since we had just checked out of our hotel in Sutter Creek, which is about 10 miles drive...so, we weren't hungry. We had a snack in the car, which was really fun, before our drive back to San Francisco.

Top 15 nude beaches in the world (CNN news for English learners)
Although still taboo in many places, casting aside your clothes at the shore has become a customary practice around the world in recent times.
From rocky coastlines to talcum powder fine sands, and big city bays to secluded shores, there are now hundreds of beaches where it's perfectly legal (or at least de facto legal) to sunbathe, swim and otherwise frolic beside the sea in nothing more than your birthday suit.
Soft, smooth sand, warm ocean breeze, gentle ocean waves and lots of other naturists makes for a great clothing-optional beach, says Nicky Hoffman of The Naturist Society, who's also the managing editor of Nude & Natural magazine and co-author of The World's Best Nude Beaches & Resorts.
While clothing-optional beach destinations may seem like a modern invention, it's actually quite an old idea, a product of the otherwise prudish Victorian era.
During the 1880s, American poet Walt Whitman extolled the virtues of the Adamic air bath -- his nude walkabouts and swims along Timber Creek in New Jersey, writing of The free exhilarating ecstasy of nakedness in Nature.
Channeling that same vibe, the naturist movement took off in Europe and North America during the first half of the 20th century, with city parks, camp grounds and eventually beaches established for those who wanted to experience nature nude in their most natural state.
One of the spin-offs of the socially and sexually liberal 1960s was a free beach movement that saw a proliferation of nude beaches around the world.
And their popularity continues today, with more and more popping up each year. Here are 15 of the best nude beaches around the world:
1. Black's Beach, La Jolla, California
Set beneath the 100-meter-high cliffs of Torrey Pines, Blacks has been the Golden State's favorite place for all-over tans for more than 50 years and was once the only legal nude beach in the entire United States.
Long, wide and blessed with great surf, the beach is reached via the zig-zag Ho Chi Minh Trail from the cliff-top Torrey Pines Gliderport near the University of California, San Diego.

State Police Interrupt a Gold Mining Operation in Oregon!
Our mining claim neighbors called the Cops! People living on the other side of the river where our mining claim is and not liking our mining, called the cops. It appears our neighbors just did not want their liberal utopia disturbed so they call the cops to harass us. The police were very cool as I knew one of them from checking our permits on another river couple months earlier and an Oregon DEQ meeting he showed up at. The rude lady yells to at from other side of river you need a permit to do that...we had them of course. She also told cops we were disrespecful and rude to her...which was totally false. She made up her own narrative about what was happening to justify her being annoyed. Liberal tactic # 3, change the narrative or just plain lie!
This is the short version of the video, filmed on the Applegate River in Oregon while we were LEGALLY GOLD MINING!
In the video, it is a continuous video, shot on my GoPro camera that I was wearing on my head. The video shows me mining and moving around with no editing to show what actually goes on while mining. Then my buddy is helping me move rocks while I'm using a sub-surface dredge...then the cops show up , and I tell him is where the action starts.
UPDATE Jan 1st, 2015: In response to some of the comments saying we are uneducated, rednecks and other stuff...the guys in the video are as follows. One is a millionaire CPA, another a self employed business owner, two others are also self employed and owns a body shop and the other an internet marketer and freelance videographer, and lastly one is the son of the CPA guy and currently in college.
Oregon Mining Law:
Next time this happens, I will ask the State Police to cite the offending people who disrupt our mining operation based on this Oregon Mining Law:
ORS 517.133 Interfering with a mining operation. (1) As used in this section, lawful mining operation means any small scale mining operation that is in full compliance with state and federal laws.
(2) A person commits the crime of interfering with a mining operation if the person intentionally:
(a) Interferes with a lawful mining operation; or
(b) Stops, or causes to be stopped, a lawful mining operation.
(3) Interfering with a mining operation is a Class C misdemeanor. [1999 c.354 §6]

The TOP 20 Reasons We Chose Our RV
We, The Adventure Travelers (Mike and Melissa) sold our sailboat and were in the market for an RV, to travel across the country and into Canada and Alaska. These are the top 20 reasons we chose the RV that was best for us.
Number One: we want to rent out our RV as part of our exit strategy when we are done traveling. You can do this through websites like RVshare and Outdoorsy. We felt this was the most rentable rig for the size.
Number Two: it's size makes it perfect for driving into state and national camp grounds as many times there are limits on space. We have no problem zipping around into these wonderful places in the United States and Canada so far.
Number Three: it's so easy to go from the cab of the front of the RV to the back and go to the bathroom when you're pulled off to the side of the road. You can also pull off the side of the road and have lunch with ease and not have to pull out the slides because there's plenty of room when the slides are in.
Number four: it's easy to get in and out for the driver. Many RVs, especially class A's don't even have a door in the front driver and passenger area.
Number five: there is lots of walking space when the slide outs are fully in. We have been in many fifth wheels where you couldn't walk when the slide outs were in. You could not even get into the fifth wheel.
Number six: when the slide outs in the living area are fully out, there is space for two people to walk very comfortably and maneuver. Mike and I struggled with this in our 37 foot sailboat. So having all this space is really a great improvement for us.
Number seven: the bed in this rig is queen size and is one of the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It feels like one of those ultra luxury hotel beds. Many times you have to purchase a new mattress because the included mattress is just a piece of garbage. We feel so happy about our bed. It is a Serta bed and when the bed slide out is fully out you can walk all the way around the bed which is another convenience in a small space. It's also very easy to make the bed.
Number eight: I know this seems kind of silly, but one of my favorite elements of this rig is the hideaway trashcan. You literally slide your trash into a whole similar to fancy bathrooms. Then your trash is taken away from the outside of the RV. The only downside, is if it's raining you have to take out your trash in the rain but oh well.
Number nine: the kitchen counter space is spectacular! I have never seen an RV with this much space for cooking and kitchen work. There's even an extension at the end of the bar just in case. The other benefit is the dining table swivels around and gets close to you so you can use it as an extra table when you're cooking.
Number 10 and number 11: the stove, oven and refrigerator are large and roomy and work well for anyone who loves to cook.
Correction - Our RV gets around 12 MPG to 15 MPG and the auto leveler. We also have use the Arctic package which prevents pipes from freezing in the cold. We also love the 12 V televisions for Boondocking. It allows us to watch television without having a generator turned on. In addition, the generator included in this unit is a heavy duty and quiet unit. We also love that the rig is solar ready and has all of the modern electronics like USB, HDMI, Surround sound, cable ready and a TV antenna.
The unit also sleeves eight adults people. We felt this was a big benefit because we will rent out our unit to families when we are finished traveling. The last few reasons we love our Sunseeker are that Michael can fit into the shower which is always a problem for anyone who is tall. The last and final. Reasons we love our RV is it has a wonderful air-conditioning and central heating unit. This is so critical when you visit all parts of the country and all different seasons.

Chicago | Study Tour 2015: Religion in American Society (Part 5/5)
PART 5: CHICAGO
In Chicago, the group visited a conservative syngogue, took a tour around the changing neighborhood parishes of the city, and circled back to the civil rights movement by visiting the Chicago Defender.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
In 2015, a group of American studies students from Leipzig University, Germany, and Jagiellonian University Kraków, Poland went on a study tour to the US to learn about the role of religion in American society. After a preperatory seminar concerned with religion in the US, the group applied their knowledge in field research.
Travelling to the cities of Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, and Chicago, as well as an Amish community in southern Indiana, the group visited religious communities and institutions, scholars, NGOs, as well as important historical sights to find out just how central religion still is in people's everyday lives.
This five part series documents this trip.
