A Weekend Getaway to Old Quebec City
Walking tours are very popular in Quebec City - some people look for great food and wine but we decided to guide ourselves to some sightseeing and a walking craft beer tour of old Quebec City.
We started near the Chateau Frontenac - maybe the most photographed landmark in the country. We found Le Chic Shack a hamburger restaurant with flights of locally crafted beer. It’s just steps from the Chateau Frontenac.
Bar L’Inox Brasserie is in the shadow of the Chateau Laurier on Grand Allay
- lots of great food, drinks and nightlife. I enjoyed an amazing sour beer and a wrapped European hot dog.
A hidden gem nestled in Petit Champlain in one of the city’s oldest houses is Pub L’Oncle Antoine. There is a full menu of local craft beer on tap and in bottles and there is loads of character and ambiance.
A short hike from the tourist areas and definitely off the beaten path, La Barberie was well worth the short walk. The microbrewery had eight beers on tap so we tried the full flight. There was tons of atmosphere. The old tavern feel felt like a place that the locals would hang out to lift a pint. If you’re hungry, they have take-out menus from nearby places that deliver.

Quebec City
Background
Quebec City is the capital city of the Canadian province of Quebec. When we visited this city, we really had no expectations and we were just completely astonished by the French influence of this city. I was really in love with this city… I want to apologise for the Montreal Video, I was really not giving my full effort when I posted that video. I`m also super late with the uploading but hopefully this makes up for it by uploading this cool Quebec City episode. Stay tune!
About me
My name is Lyka, I am 21 years old, I am a Filipina, I love to travel and have kept making videos or clips for my friends to see. One of my friends encouraged me to start Youtube and after 2 years, (yes, two years.) I actually decided that I had enough content to slowly upload them.
I hope I`ll be seeing you weekly here in
Lyking Adventures.
Why the Name?
Lyking is a combination of Lyka (my real name) and King (my nickname)
So I decided to combine them.
