Val-David, Quebec - That Hippie Village in the Mountains
Beautiful Val-David a small artsy village in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec. Artists of every discipline reside here, small shops sell hand crafted creations and the annual 1001 Pots Exhibit is one of North Americas finest. Restaurants abound and are a welcome respite after a bike ride along the Petit Train Du Nord bicycle trail... and did I mention the world class rock climbing.
Weekend and weekday events are held throughout the summer. Only an hour from Montreal and on the route to Mont Tremblant.

Welcome to Montreal Murugan Temple. This Temple is the first Saivaite Temple in the Province of Quebec in Canada. While it is open to all those devotees who believe in SAIVAISM to fulfil their religious rituals and functions, all other faiths are cordially invited to this temple. Montreal Murugan Temple was established in 1983 and registered as a Non-Profit organization with Revenue Canada since then. Temple land was bought in 1992 and the present Temple was built and consecrated on Nov 1995. To add the true authentic flavour reflecting our heritage and sculpture works, the present Phase II at an estimated cost 1.3 Million dollars started on June last year. We have completed the Temple building in structural aspects but more sculptural works yet to be done by Authentic sculptors from India. These sculptors comprises a team of 10 artisans under the Guidance of a leading scholar of the Hindu/Saivaite architecture from Tamilnadu/India.
Beaux Reves Auberge and Spa, Ste-Adèle, Quebec
I love Spas ! I don`t get to visit them very often as they are a luxury for me and they do not come cheap but every once in a while I like to indulge.
This is a quaint little place that I really enjoyed. It`s not too expensive and has extra activities if you are not the sort to spend the whole day at the spa. I do recommend the massage package, she really worked the muscles. All in all, a great day is usually decided by whom you are with, in this case, it was a great relaxing spa day :)
