Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts is a town in the province of Quebec, Canada, in the regional county municipality of Les Laurentides in the administrative region of Laurentides, also known as the Laurentians or the Laurentian Mountains . Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts borders on a lake called Lac des Sables, and is located approximately 100 kilometres north of Montreal. The town has been twinned with Lagny-sur-Marne, France since 1969 and Saranac Lake, New York since 2002.

Parc Omega is a safari park in Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours, Quebec, Canada . Along a 12-kilometre nature route are lakes, meadows, small valleys, forests, and rocky hills. It is home to many wildlife species including beaver, elk, raccoon, timber wolf, coyote, muskox, deer, turtle, boar, red fox, Alpine ibex, caribou, black bear, moose, wild turkey, and bison. During the summer there are shows featuring birds of prey especially bald eagles. The site also has a restaurant with a panoramic view. The park is open daily, year round. The park is a drive-through experience, meaning visitors stay in their cars and drive through the park on a winding trail. They also offer three walking trails, playgrounds and picnic areas. It is in the administrative region of Laurentides in the Laurentian mountains, located about 60 kilometres north of Montreal. St-Sauveur is well known for its local ski areas, the biggest of which is Mont Saint-Sauveur. The ski areas market themselves jointly under the name of Valley of Saint-Sauveur. Its proximity to Montreal, as well as its snow-making capability, night-time skiing, and après-ski establishments make St-Sauveur a popular destination for skiers. The Laurentians in the summer - outdoor parties all day!

We drive up north from Montreal to the Laurentians. One evening in St-Sauveur at the Cuban festival and the next day at the Fete de La Musique of Mont Tremblant. It was truly a fun way to spend the weekend!
