The state of California is located on the West Coast of the United States and is the land of huge palm trees, sandy beaches, girls in bikinis and sunshine; a paradise for surfers and the film industry.San Francisco is famous for the Golden Gate Bridge, the Alcatraz, its trams and the world’s most winding street. Los Angeles is a huge metropolitan that is a collection of unique smaller villages; the capital of the film industry reaches from Santa Monica on the coast, through Malibu all the way to the elegant Beverly Hills. The main sight of San Diego is its harbour and the nostalgic Gaslamp Quarter. However, California is made up of more than just huge cities; it is also full of natural beauty, from the giant sequoias to the Yosemite National Park, the small towns that are reminiscent of the “gold rush”; the splendor of Hearst Castle and the famous amusement parks: Disneyland, Universal Studios and Sea World, San Diego.

Do you remember the last race scene in the movie “Need for Speed”? This is the location of that shoot
Carmet Beach
This is a small beach on Highway 1, along the pacific coast in Bodega Bay. You may spend some time watching the scenic view, fly drone and have snacks.
Glass Beach
This is a perfect beach for viewing sunset. The rocks in the beach make the sunset pictures beautiful.
Jug Handle State Reserve and Beach
It’s a small and beautiful beach. Beach is covered by hills on two sides, which makes the place less windy & allows only the breeze from the ocean. An ideal place for photos & sunset viewing.
Russian Gulch State Park
An awesome place for camping. Even if you are not camping, trails are exciting. Fern Canyon trails takes you to 40 feet waterfalls.

Carlsbad is a cute surf town located on the coast between Los Angeles and San Diego. It has been one of my favorite locations to spend time surfing and relaxing. If you’ve never ben to the area before, here are some things to do in Carlsbad, USA.
1) Go for a run on the Seawall.
2) Grab breakfast or a juice from Choice Juicery.
3) Go surfing in South Carlsbad.
4) Explore downtown.
5) Grab a post-surf pizza at Pizza Port.

Things to do in San Diego, California. Check out what I did on my San Diego vacation, including indoor activities to stay cool during that late August heat wave. Also some hang time with the family in Los Angeles.
Hiked Torrey Pines to watch the sunset at the beach, sea kayaked La Jolla, explored Balboa Park like a tourist, shooting guns and arrows and tons of good eats -- all of which made my San Diego vacation amazing!
