Sainte-Madeleine is a village municipality in southwestern Quebec, Canada in Les Maskoutains Regional County Municipality. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 2,356. Le Camping Ste-Madeleine, founded in 1967 for visitors to EXPO 67, is the area's principal tourist attraction. The annual musical event, the Festival Country du Camping Sainte-Madeleine, held in late July, attracts approximately 5,000 visitors to the community of 2,356. Individuals born in Sainte-Madeleine include artist France Jodoin.

Parc Safari is a zoo in Hemmingford, Quebec, Canada, and is one of the region's major tourist attractions; that has both African & Asian species of elephant. Parc Safari, an animal and amusement park was founded in 1972. It currently holds 500 animals of 75 different species. It is located close to the United States and draws many American visitors. It contains many African animals, including zebra, African elephants, dromedary camels, elands, rhinos, wildebeest, ostriches, lions, Ankole-Watusi cattle, and kudu. It also has many Asian animals, including Asiatic water buffalo, gaur, tigers, a Bactrian camel, Asian elephants, yaks, and many different types of deer. The breezy Magdalen Islands are known to the French-speaking people of Canada's Québec province as the Îles de la Madeleine.

The thirteen islands and several islets of the Îles de la Madeleine archipelago are in the heart of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. As the easternmost region of the province of Québec, they are in the Atlantic Time Zone, and an hour ahead of mainland Québec.

The wooden houses are painted vibrant colors. With blue skies, velvety green hills and valleys, soaring red sea-sculpted cliffs, white sandy beaches, and seemingly limitless shades of a cerulean sea, these islands are a colorful place to relax.

Gaspesie, Gaspe Coast, Quebec, Canada in 4K - Things to do - Part 5

In this fifth video of our trip to Quebec, Canada series, we show our favorite 4K clips from our visit to the Gaspesie, Gaspe peninsula. We took the Navigators route, or route 132, the longest highway in Quebec province. This scenic road is located along the south shore of the lower Saint Lawrence River in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region.

We mention and show places such as the towns of Kamouraska and Rimouski, Sainte-Luce coast and La Martre lighthouse.

We also discuss our thoughts and give tips on what we liked most about our travels to these areas.

Best sendoff from a cruise port: Hamburg, Germany aboard the Queen Mary 2

It was a sendoff fit for a king when we sailed aboard Cunard's Queen Mary 2 from Hamburg, Germany to New York. People lined the shores of the Elbe River for miles.

The view of the city and busy harbor--one of the largest in the world--was spectacular from the top decks. Music blared, boats of all descriptions followed, people cheered, and fireworks added to the celebratory atmosphere. Guests of the Louis C. Jacob Hotel waved their sheets from their windows.

This past week I have been in Canada at my very old family cabin at Rock Lake near Bruce Mines in Ontario. I've gone there every year since i can remember and it is one of my favorite places in the entire world that I've discovered so far! I hope you enjoy this video even though it's not much but just a couple minuets of film of my family enjoying our relaxing time!

Discover is culture! From 1832 to 1937, Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site served as a quarantine station for the Port of Québec, the main getaway for immigrants into Canada. This island witnessed momentous events, such as the typhus epidemic, which claimed the lives of thousands of Irish immigrants in 1847. Meet many period figures who will tell you about the daily lives of the employees and immigrants residing in the quarantine station. Experience what the immigrants felt when they entered the disinfection building and learn about medicine and immigration in the 19th and 20th centuries. Walk or hop on the tourist trolley to the central part of the island to visit the village where the quarantine station employees lived. Continue your tour toward the hospital sector on the island's most eastern point to visit the Lazaretto, which bore witness to the tragic events of 1847.
