Winter in Lake Tahoe in 4K | Snowshoe Hiking & Sunset Cruise
After a wonderful blizzard, we hiked and snowshoed around Lake Tahoe's famous Fallen Leaf Lake along the Mt. Tallac trail. Winter is a beautiful time, and showshoeing allows you to safely check out some of the surrounding wilderness. In this video, we briefly hiked off trail to reach Floating Island Lake, a hidden gem of South Lake Tahoe. Just be sure you know where you're going and that you're properly prepared!
Winter in Tahoe also offers an amazing opportunity to take to the lake, which we did through Emerald Bay Cruises. Although chilly, its the perfect conditions to hop on the lake as the temperature deters most other tourists.
Mark Twain once visited this amazing lake and wrote about his journey in Roughing It. While most tourists come here ski, gamble and snowboard, going uphill can be just as fun (if not more) as going down hill.

East Fork Falls (4K)- LET IT RAIN! Northern California Waterfalls North Fork American River- 2019
Thanksgiving Day, 2018. A very wet and fun day hike to East Fork Falls on the East Fork North Fork North Fork American River, in Tahoe National Forest, Emigrant Gap. On Thanksgiving we had our first (long overdue) substantial rain/snow storm in California. Of course the waterfall madman was out getting wet and hiking to waterfalls! East Fork Falls is a hidden gem on the EFNFNFAR, and getting to it in the rain and higher water was not only wet, but quite tricky!

San Francisco - Union Square - January 12, 2013
Union Square in San Francisco got its name because it was once used for rallies and support for the Union Army during the American Civil War, earning its designation as a California Historical Landmark. Today, this one-block plaza and surrounding area is one of the largest collections of department stores, upscale boutiques, gift shops, art galleries, and beauty salons in the United States, making Union Square a major tourist destination, a vital, cosmopolitan gathering place in downtown San Francisco, and one of the world's premier shopping districts.
Bride Killed in Helicopter Crash (Warning: Distressing Footage)
Warning: This is a distressing video. A video has been released showing a helicopter crash that killed four people on board a helicopter en-route to a wedding (December, 2016). The 32-year-old bride, Rosemere do Nascimento, had planned to surprise her fiancé Udirley Damasceno, who was waiting at the altar when the chopper crash landed a mile from the reception venue in a rural area on the outskirts of Sao Paulo in Brazil.
While it's *generally* unfair to speculate, the R44 piston machine was in what clearly appears to be IMC. Watch what happens to the aggressive bank around the 1:42 min mark before control is lost. It was careless flying.
All occupants (including a pregnant photopgrapher, Nayla Cristina Neves) were killed.
