California Travel Guide - Point Vicente Lighthouse
Take a tour of Point Vincente Lighthouse in California, United States -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.
The Palos Verdes Peninsula in the Los Angeles County of the US, is home to Point Vicente Lighthouse.
Constructed in 1926, it comes under the direct control of United States Coast Guard which is responsible for operating and maintaining it.
This nearly 67 feet tall tower gives out light at over 185 feet above sea level which serves the purpose of navigation excellently.
It was constructed because the potentially fatal surrounding water claimed the lives of many seamen in disastrous and unfortunate accidents.
Standing tall on the edge of a 130 foot tall cliff, visitors can seek stunning views of the gorgeous locale here.
It was also honored on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
Terranea Resort: Southern California’s Hidden Gem
Experience the luxury and beauty of one of Southern California’s hidden gems. Terranea Resort is located just south of Los Angeles and features gorgeous views of the Pacific coastline, award-winning restaurants and spa services, and one of the nation’s top par-3 golf courses. Guests can stay in an ocean view room, a spacious casita or bungalow, or even have the option of buying a villa through Terranea Real Estate. Visit Terranea to experience nature like you cannot anywhere else in Los Angeles. Whale watching, exploring the tide pools, falconry, and miles of nature trails are just the beginning of the activities offered throughout the resort.

The #Photowalks series is all about bringing viewers to cool places in the Southern California (and elsewhere) area in search of the best photo spots to light up your social media, and to show how, when and where to get them.
Past #Photowalk episodes include visits to Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Balboa Island, the Griffith Observatory and Venice Beach. We went outside the area to trek to Pismo Beach, a road trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, Tokyo and Kauai.
