Beautiful cheap camping - under $30/night - near the Redwoods National & State Parks can be difficult to find. After boondocking 5 nights at Florence Keller County Park & Campground I can tell you this is an excellent place to affordably camp among the redwoods. There are plenty of amenities here too! Just be careful on the roads in, they're narrow with trees closely lining the road in spots making it difficult for large rigs to camp here.

CA 101 Redwood Forest Highway National Parks Road Trip Video Tips Walk Around Northern California
CA 101 Redwood Forsest Highway National Parks Road Trip Rest Stop Area Walk Around Found Creek Started this video on a very cool part of the highway where they trees make a canopy and it is really pretty. I got stuck behind some road construction so was able to get some good video. Then we went through Laytonville which is a really cool little town. I stopped at a rest stop just off the 101 to let Breeder get out and run around a little bit. While walking around I saw a cool area down the hill and tried to find a way down. Finally found a way down the hill and was really glad I went down there. There is two water sources feeding into this area and they have a cool area set up where the water comes out of a big pipe. It is a decent sized creek or river and as you can see the water is clear as can be. It is that time of year where the snow is starting to melt. Also at that rest stop was a broken down Volvo that had two flat tires and a broken out light. Looked like it had been there awhile and even had tickets on it. Then back on the road where you see some of the prettiest areas that I have seen in the country in my opinion. Stopped at Blue Lake and got you a pretty good view of the lake.

5 Top-Rated Hiking Trails in California, USA
California is a hiker's paradise, with an incredible diversity of landscapes. The nature sites are so sublime that simple descriptions only hint at their grandeur: the magnificent glacier-carved valley of Yosemite, a breathtaking mountainous coastline in Big Sur, the serenely barren Mojave Desert, the majestic snow-capped Mount Shasta, and a rugged, untamed wilderness in Solstice Canyon. Many of the national parks also boast record-breaking statistics. Yosemite National Park has the tallest waterfall in North America, while Mountain Whitney has the highest summit in the continental United States, and the tallest trees in the world are found in the Redwood National and State Parks. This list of top-rated hikes covers the highlights of California's nature trails, mostly moderate to strenuous hikes at famous sites like Yosemite and Mount Shasta. For those ready to take on an extreme challenge, the list includes two epic hikes at legendary nature sites, Mount Whitney and the Lost Coast, that should only be attempted by advanced hikers. Here, five best hiking trails in California, United States.
1. Yosemite Falls Trail: A Spectacular Hike to North America's Tallest Waterfall
2. Mount Shasta
