Snowy Mountains (Snowies), Australia
The Snowy Mountains, sometimes nicknamed the Snowies, are a region of New South Wales in Australia in the south east of the state. The highest region in Australia and one of the cooler areas of New South Wales, they are notable for their ski-fields and are the centre of snow sports in New South Wales.
The mountains are beautiful year round and the region annually attracts some three million visitors seeking nature-based and adventure holidays. Whether you're after a rugged back-to-nature experience, want to be cosseted in alpine splendor or simply feel like going somewhere beautiful, diverse and interesting with the whole family, the chances are high that you'll find it in the Snowy Mountains. There are several large lakes, tunnels, and Hydro power stations that form part of the scheme that you can visit. Tours take visitors a kilometre into the mountainside and offer a vivid insight into the sheer scope of this iconic part of the nation's post-war development.

Today We're heading to CBD (Downtown) Sydney Australia to visit a couple of beautiful places. Our next stop is the biggest church in Sydney CBD Australia. St Mary's Cathedral was built in 1851 and it is beautiful place to visit. You will see a lot of tourists here because it's a free attraction worth seeing and take a lot of pictures.
You will love the architecture. It's also open to visit the inside of the cathedral. It's beautiful with the colored glass windows.
There will be a lot of wedding pictures taken outside of the cathedral.
Sydney is just lively and nice overall with the warm and sunny weather.

Australië - Harrington (NSW)
Een aan de oostkust en aan de monding van de Manning rivier gelegen rustig vissersdorpje. Over de golfbrekers (breakwaters) kan je heerlijk wandelen en genieten van de vele vissers (en pelikanen bij de fishcleaningspoints) die gebruik maken van deze brekers. Mooie strandwandelingen zijn te maken over de Harrington Beach en met wat geluk zie je scholen dolfijnen langs komen. Vanaf de Pilots Hill Lookout heb je een mooi uitzicht over de monding van de Manning rivier. Het dorpje waar onze vriend Hans woonde, was onze uitvalbasis voor vele interesante trips. Tijdens een mini carpet bowlsavond in de club ontmoette wij Tom Page. Een man met een interresante levensgeschiedenis als o.a. houthakker in de bushes in diverse districten van NSW. Zijn levenservaringen heeft hij beschreven in een boekje met de titel Poetic feelings and memories. Daarin beschrijft hij zijn sterke relatie met de natuur of zoals hij zegt: Mother nature, my God a beautiful Lady.
A quiet fishing village on the east coast and at the mouth of the Manning River. About the breakwaters you can walk and enjoy the many fishermen (and pelicans at the fishcleaningspoints) who use these breakers. Beautiful beach walks can be made over the Harrington Beach and with some luck you will see schools of dolphins passing by. From the Pilots Hill Lookout you have a beautiful view over the mouth of the Manning River. The village where our friend Hans lived was our base for many interesting trips. During a mini carpet bowls night in the club we met Tom Page. A man with an interesting life history as a woodcutter in the bushes in various districts of NSW. He has described his life experiences in a booklet entitled Poetic feelings and memories. In it he describes his strong relationship with nature or as he says: Mother nature, my God a beautiful Lady.

Australië - Crowdy Head, NSW
Regelmatig bezochten wij vanuit Harrington het op een landtong gelegen vissersdorpje Crowdy Head. Je kan er heerlijk en eindeloos wandelen over het strand aan de voet van het Crowdy Bay NP. Vanaf het hooggelegen lighthouse heb je een prachtig uitzicht over de stranden, het Crowdy Bay NP en de South Pacific Ocean. Met name de zonsondergang vanaf dit punt is een fantastische belevenis. Bij de visafslag kan je dagelijks verse vis kopen.
