A significant nearby landmark is Mount Canobolas with a peak elevation of 1,395 metres AHD and commanding views of the district.     Mount Canobolas, a mountain on a spur of the Great Dividing Range, is located in the Central Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. With an elevation of 1,390 metres above sea level, Mount Canobolas, an extinct volcano, is the highest mountain in the region. Situated 13 kilometres southwest of the city of Orange, it is about 250 kilometres west of Sydney. The northern slopes of the mountain, with fertile volcanic soil, are popular cold-climate wine producing area.
