Armidale is a city in the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales, Australia. Armidale had a population of 24,351 as at June 2017. It is the administrative centre for the Northern Tablelands region. It is approximately halfway between Sydney and Brisbane at the junction of the New England Highway and Waterfall Way. Armidale traditional owners are Anaiwan people. Many Gumbaynggirr people have settled in Armidale since colonisation.

1. New England Regional Art Museum Armidale
The New England Regional Art Museum, known as NERAM, is a museum of Australian art located in Armidale in the New England region of New South Wales. NERAM's art collections are the second largest and most valuable regional public collection in NSW after the Newcastle Art Gallery. NERAM's collections are valued in excess of A$25 million. The NERAM complex includes six gallery spaces, a Museum of Printing, an artist's studio, conference facilities, shop and café.

This is list of museums in New South Wales, Australia containing museums which are defined for this context as institutions that collect and care for objects of cultural, artistic, scientific, or historical interest and make their collections or related exhibits available for public viewing. Also included are non-profit art galleries and university art galleries. According to the 2013 NSW Museum and Gallery Sector Census and Survey conducted by Museums and Galleries of NSW, a state funded support agency, there are 495 operational museums and galleries located in NSW. They include 293 community run and managed museums, 57 public and regional galleries, 51 public and regional museums, 37 community run and managed galleries and artist run initiatives and 23 Aboriginal cultural centres. 3. Railway Museum Armidale
The Armidale railway station is a heritage-listed railway station at 240 Brown Street, Armidale, Armidale Regional Council, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1882 to 1883 by Edmund Lonsdale and Henry Sheldon Hoddard, and was opened on 3 February 1883 when the line was extended from Uralla. It was the terminus of the line until it was extended to Glen Innes on 19 August 1884. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.It is the terminal station of the Main Northern line. The last regular services to operate north of Armidale was the Northern Mail which ceased in November 1988. Freight services continued to serve a fertilizer depot at Dumaresq until the mid-2000s, after which the line closed north of Armidale.
