Peak Hill is the name of a goldfield, locality and the site of a gold mining ghost town in the Murchison Region of Western Australia. The gold mine covers 2,162 hectares and consists of four open-cut mines, titled Main, Jubilee, Fiveways and Harmony.In the adjacent region to the locality there are considerable non auriferous mineral deposits. Adjacent fields included the Horseshoe field.Early exploration at the site occurred in the 1890s, when gold was discovered by William John Wilson in 1892.   • 1. The Age of Fishes Museum Canowindra
    The Age of Fishes Museum is one of only two fish fossil museums in the world and is a National Heritage site due to its international scientific significance. Located in Canowindra, New South Wales, Australia, it was established in 1998. The Museum was designed by Australian architect, John Andrews. The museum houses a huge collection of Devonian fish fossils found in the Canowindra area. In 1955, roadworks near Canowindra uncovered a large rock slab covered with unusual impressions, which was then placed to the side of the road whilst roadworks continued. A local apiarist later found this slab and, believing it to contain fossils, contacted the Australian Museum about it.   • 3. The Henry Parkes Centre Parkes
    The King's Castle is Australia's only permanent collection of Elvis' personal memorabilia on loan to Parkes Shire Council, New South Wales, Australia by former Yellow Wiggle Greg Page. The collection features clothing, jewellery and many other items that were owned by Elvis himself. The collection is housed at the Henry Parkes Centre, on the Newell Highway, Parkes and is open to the public seven days a week. The display consists of two galleries including exhibits of Elvis' early years, movie years, personal life and stage and army careers. The collection is updated annually prior to the Countrylink Parkes Elvis Festival held on the second weekend of January every year.
