Lue .. a small Australian Village
Lue is a small village in New South Wales, Australia. At the 2006 census, Lue and the surrounding rural area had a population of 815.
Lue is located on the now-closed Gwabegar railway line between the larger towns of Rylstone and Mudgee, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south-east of Mudgee. It is not on the main road, but the NSW TrainLink bus services from Gulgong detours several times a week to service Lue.
Lue was prosperous after the opening of the railway to Mudgee in 1884, but declined from the 1930s. Lue Hotel and Lue Pottery are businesses still in operation.

A maximum stay of 7 days applies and bookings are essential due to the frequent return of previous campers. Once booked, the site is yours with no unexpected neighbours arriving during the night, providing you with not only privacy, but peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Old Bara also has a guesthouse that sleeps up to 10 people for those who like the finer things in life or simply wish to catch up with family and friends who don't like camping.

Wollemi National Park - Camping at Dunns Swamp
Dunns Swamp is on the Cudgegong River some 25kms east of Rylstone in the Wollemi National Park in NSW Australia apart of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage National Area. Tent camping sites are available and there are areas for Caravans can and trailers too. Opportunities for canoeing bush walking, fishing, photography, picnicking or just a relaxing getaway. Dunns swamp was formed when in the 1920s the river was dammed to provide water for the Kandos cement works some 25 kms away.

There's so much more to New South Wales than world class beaches and coastline. Explore Country NSW at the World Heritage listed Wollemi National Park. Just a couple of hours Norther West of Sydney.
We pitched up alongside the picturesque Cudgegong river, nestled in-between Gum Trees and nature. And there's so much to see and do! Kayaking and hiking - breath taking views to discover and amazing animals to spot - I lost count of how many long neck turtles we saw!
And Mudgee town, famous for it's fantastic wineries, is a just over an hour drive away. Perfect for a day trip and a bit of self indulgence! And while you're out and about, check out the quaint townships full of art and local produce in the surrounding areas.
You might not, however, feel like venturing out of the campground - and we wouldn't blame you. It's bliss!

Glen Davis, New South Wales - Historic Shale Oil Town

Glen Davis is an old shale-mining town on the Capertee River, 35 km east of Capertee on the eastern rim of the Capertee Valley (The widest valley in the world and larger than the Grand Canyon in the United States)
The first mining tunnel, established in 1881, later became the basis of the major mining enterprise which opened in 1938. A town of some 2500 people developed around the mine, which was named Glen Davis after the Davis Gelatine interests who headed the mining consortium.
The operation closed down in 1952 due to high costs and the increasingly small output, leaving what remains today – crumbling furnace ruins, retorts and collapsed shafts covered in vegetation and surrounded by steep sandstone cliffs and a profuse array of bird & wild life.

Transport Heritage Expo - June Long Weekend 2018 - Steam on the Illawarra (Part 1/2)
From Saturday 9th June to Monday 11th June 2018, the annual Transport Heritage Expo was held at Central Station. This event saw the return of Steam Locomotive 3526, which had been under overhaul since 2012. There were a number of activities during the event, which included:

-Red Rattler F1 - City Circle & East Hills Shuttle Trips
-Heritage Train Display - Featuring 3642, 4001 and 4807
-Sydney Bus Museum - Vintage Bus Trips around Sydney CBD
We were able to attend the event on Sunday 10th and Monday 11th June. Part 1 of our footage from the 10th June, where we travelled to different stations along the Illawarra Line to film 3526 and 6029 hauling Shuttle Trips from Central to Hurstville.
We visited the following stations throughout the day:
